Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Wingtourage (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Wingtourage mobile application and related services (the “Service”).

Information we collect

• Account information. When you create or sign in to an account, we process identifiers such as email address, name/display name, and authentication data through our auth provider (Clerk), including Sign in with Apple and Google if you choose those options.
• Wing logs and content you create. Session details you enter (for example wing counts, ratings, heat level, notes), restaurant/venue tags, and photos you attach to logs.
• Location. With your permission, we use approximate or precise location while you pick a venue (when-in-use) to suggest nearby wing spots. We do not request always-on background location.
• Photos. With your permission, we access your photo library so you can attach images to wing logs. We do not require camera access.
• Moderation data. Reports you submit, block lists, and related resolution notes used to keep the community safe.
• Usage analytics. On iOS we use Firebase Analytics for product analytics (for example screen views and feature events). Analytics may include a user identifier when you are signed in.

How we use information

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service (feeds, profiles, venue suggestions).
• Authenticate accounts and secure access.
• Store and display community wing logs you choose to share publicly.
• Moderate content, enforce community guidelines, and respond to reports.
• Understand product usage and fix issues.
• Respond to support requests.

How we share information

We share information with service providers that help us run the Service:

• Clerk — authentication and account management.
• Cloudflare — API hosting and photo/object storage (R2).
• Google (Firebase Analytics) — product analytics on iOS.
• Apple / Google — if you use their sign-in services.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of users or the Service.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and content data while your account is active and as needed to operate the Service and meet legal obligations. You can delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete Account. That process deletes your account and associated wing logs, photos, and stats from our systems, subject to backups and data we must keep for legal or safety reasons (for example unresolved abuse investigations).

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

Your choices

• Deny or revoke photo library and location permissions in iOS Settings.
• Block users and report content from community logs in the app.
• Delete your account from Profile.
• Contact us for support or privacy requests.
